2010's 「person of the year」....!

i'm SO not surprised by their choice this year...!
Mark Zuckerburg is the founder of Facebook--the ultra popular social networking site that i'm sure YOU even have an account for. c'mon, over 500 million people around the world have an account with Facebook (that's half a billion!!!!)
even a movie was made out of it-- 「The Social Network」 which by the way received great reviews by critics and is even nominated for the upcoming Golden Globes!
Oscars too, i'm sure of it!
(i've seen the movie as well and i love it -- ivys thoughts on Social Network)
he has undoubtedly created a new way for people to network around the world and it still continues to break new barriers and expand. it definitely changed the way we communicate and share information with friends and families.
o, and did i mention he's the youngest billionaire in the world??

my other guess would've been Lady GaGa but i think her popularity may be slowly dwindling down...and she appeals only to a certain demographic.. it's not as broad as Facebook that's for sure. ( fun fact: Lady GaGa was the first person to achieve 10 million fans on Facebook. she reached 10 million before Obama did! O_o )

FIFA world cup 2010...♥

wow! soccer is so much fun to watch!
i've always liked playing soccer during my PE classes back in the day
(and all other racket sports)
and i recall attending a few soccer games during my high school years☺

i've been rooting for japan of course☺
USA wins too much of everything..(olympics, taking over the world...)
so i gave my support to japan!
of course by the time i started watching the games, japan had already won 2 games!♥
and surprised a lot of people actually... they were the last asian country standing...
unfortunately today, they played against Paraguay and lost :(
o well...they came pretty far.. farther than the US !

now i'd really love to attend a sounders game. i don't know how festive the sounders games are but from watching the World Cup in Africa, the audience is just ♥_♥!!
they are festive, loud, colorful, and..just FESTIVE!! and i love that!
it's like Japanese baseball games where people chant and make noise and wave flags.
but baseball in america is A-Boring!!!! it's so quiet you can hear people crack their peanuts...ugh!

hmmm...so how do i get my hands onto some Sounders tickets..?

just looking at that number makes me think of all these futuristic things...!

like...flying cars! teleporters! all glass houses!

but of course...nothing like that yet :(

crazy in technology.....yea, you know, like the jetson's?

well, we're a whole decade into the 2000's and we are yet to see these things...

i hope i live long enough to experience flying cars at least!

*friends getting married...having children (yea..i'm not there yet...)

o wait, maybe that last one was just a personal thing... hahaha
