eve of the new year...oomisoka!

yes that's right! it's officially new year's eve...! halloween being my favorite holiday, new year's is a very close second..!! the countdown, the new year, the feeling of getting to start things with a fresh start! and honestly..i can't believe it's already 2009---- but..but..where are the flying cars?? new year's is probably also my favorite because it's a big deal in japan... usually the whole first week of january is a celebration. my parents already started cooking 'osechi-ryouri' for the new year.

new job...!

so i am very excited...! i finally got the call this morning.... i landed the job i wanted! YESSSS!!! i'll be working in downtown seattle and this means...i'll get to move out very very soon! my goal was march of 09, so i think i'll make it ! great news to end the year^_^ and i think flipi is excited too! she's been waiting for me to get a job forever... thanks for being patient, the wait is OVAH!!

traveling blues... but not for long...!

so james flew back to ohio for the holidays... was supposed to be back yesterday but his flight got cancelled... i've had delays before but never been cancelled on!!! i'm assuming it's the weather that's been making traveling a poop-ish result this year... but yay! i'll get to see him tomorrow !! i'm oober excited and can't wait to give him my all-time-best-panda-bear-hug!!

with all the snow and cold weather we've been getting, i was in dire need of glittens..! YES, glittens! well, they might as well be called glittens...they are gloves with the capability of becoming mittens as well! aren't they adorable?!? i ruv them★ and thank you jamus for them!

so i think this is one of the more recent cell phones in japan... michael brought it over and it's the kind you can flip the screen and fold it, and watch regular TV shows on it ! why o why is america so S-L-O-W with cell phone evolution...?!?!? hahaha

michael is visiting from japan...!! i haven't seen michael for about 3+ years!! he's been living in japan and doing a lot of exploring out there, living on his own, working a job and all that good stuff★ his japanese, of course, has gotten so good, i think he can speak it better than i can O_o !!! ruh-roh! anyways, here are some pics from last night i spent with michael and richard. so this is probably the most snow i've seen in seattle, and i've lived here close to ten years...! WOW! it's been constantly snowing and sticking, and at night everything ices up... i'm actually stranded in bellevue right now, unable to drive in this weather... luckily i'm hanging out with james tho ^_^ yay! i don't have my usb right now, but i'll upload snow pictures probably tomorrow.... (i secretly want it to keep snowing, even though i can tell most people are already getting really frustrated with it, hahaha)
