mmm...krispy kreme♥

'twas my coworker's birthday on friday. we have at tradition where we celebrate a bday with either donuts, cookies, brownies, etc. krispy kreme is always a popular choice.
this is their limited time heart shaped donut...just in time for valentines day i suppose♥

i like the original donut.
(outside of krispy kreme i prefer the old-fashioned donut)

it's pretty fun... i'm so familiar with downtown seattle that i started noticing these little things i normally overlook. i'm not sure what the sign is supposed to say...looks like someone peeled it off :( hmmm... any ideas?

i found a gigantic green fruit at the grocery store today.
(and i didn't even check to see what it was called)
i remember in japan there was a fruit called "sweetie" that looked like a giant green grapefruit
hmmm..i'm intimidated but i'll have to try one next time

ok...here's the deal...whenever i hear that "iPad" all i think of is the feminine product...
am i right? (or maybe because i'm a girl...)
i think the "iTablet" or even the "iTab" would've been...less embarrassing to say with a straight face:) for me anyway...
so..it's basically like a larger iPhone right?
well..kinda... except you can't call people with it... AND there's no camera on it!
(no camera?! c'mon...that's a MUST)
but it's pretty cool... service provider is of course AT&T only...again
you can get a monthly data plan...and/or use WiFi connection
the new thing is the iBookstore. yep, "the kindle" beware...a new rival has arrived!
i'm just not sure how popular this will get though...
would people who already own an iPhone want this?
and what's the battery life? i mean..that screen is ginormous! and blindingly bright!
oof...i'm so clumsy, i'd be afraid to take it with me everywhere...
i might drop it and break it instantly!

wanna rubik's...?

this just came to my attention..!
this year is the 30th anniversary for the mind challenging Rubik's Cube..!

how cool !
somehow i thought it was older than that...
i recall the cube being VERY popular in the 80's♥ every kid had one...
well...except me :(
i wanted one so bad at one point...but (in japan) they cost a shocking 3000 yen everywhere i looked! yea..i don't know why it was so expensive...
then a few years ago i purchased one (someone else brought it to BCC when i was attending there and i got interested again) i was never able to solve all 6 sides..only one side. but there's a pattern to it and i eventually mastered the solution ^-^
well...if you handed me a rubik's cube right now, i couldn't solve it for the life of me...
i'll have to dig up the mathematical solution again...but then, would that be cheating?
hmmm..now i wanna mess around with one again!
i scored a free 'wall-e' cube from james a while back...hmmm..where is that darn thing?

avocado garden sammiches...♥♥

we have very limited eateries around my work...
so i frequent the corner deli on elliot ave
it's run by a korean family..i think
well, let me tell ya, their GARDEN BURGERS are soooo good!
but filling...so today i got their avocado garden sammich ♥
what makes it different? hmmm..probably the cream cheese..
yep, they spread cream cheese on it! a new tasty discovery for me♥
and who doesn't like avocado?! mmmmm

the corner coffee shop...♥

so im always raving and talking about the corner coffee shop right by my work...

here it is!
i know right? doesn't look like a coffee shop...! O_o
if i didn't know this place, i would just walk by it without even noticing...
the food...fantastically good ^-^

lately they've expanded their pastry selection i've noticed...
they get freshly delivered bread, scones, and such from MACRINA..another local cafe i see around seattle.... their dill scone i know, sounds weird...) are to DIE for!
and they get fresh organic salad delivered to them daily...quite good♥

kiki has been hyper for a few days...
so i took the opportunity to chase her around the apartment!

peggle nights...♥

since i've cleared all levels and challenges from the peggle game-- jamus upgraded me to peggle Nights♥ a newer version...
oi! i'm addicted...!
and it's the simplest game...
you just release a pachinko ball and try to clear all the orange pegs...
i've been playing it all day today... lazy sunday....

rumor is...there's even a peggle game for the nintendo DS..?!
uh oh...sounds like i could be peggling on my commute to work pretty soon...

seattle night-out...♥

friday night was much fun♥
we went out to seattle with great people
karen suggested we go out to 'the saint' in capitol hill.
not a tequila bar but they specialize in margaritas.
boy was she right! their margaritas were awesome!
the restaurant was very cute. it's almost hidden--i would totally walk by it without noticing a restaurant there. the lights were so dim; it gave off this certain 'mood'.
romantic? sexy? o-to-na? :D
anyhow, i approve♥

we arrived pretty late too, the dance floor was quite stuffy...sweaty...muggy..
and of course we can't forget the infamous hot dog stands you see EVERYWHERE after you leave a club... what a great business for those guys!
i mean EVERY stand had lines and lines of people....

finally...utada is here♥♥

finally...! my most anticipated show in a while♥
i'm a huge jpop fan..always have been..since i was a kid growing up in japan.
utada is popular in japan..'tis a fact.
the girl is talented...she's a singer/songwriter..from an early age.
she's also bilingual in japanese/english... and she's my age!
wow..i can totally relate♥
she released 2 US albums thus far...and to promote her most recent one, she's on a US&UK tour at the moment... and i was stoked to find out she would be performing in seattle:)
i promptly purchased tickets for myself and erika.

it being a thursday nite, erika and i were already in the seattle area.
after work, we decided to head over early...only to find a HUGE ass line of people!
woa...i mean yes, it was a sold out show..but the line wrapped around the whole block!

here's the line... lots of asians i must admit..
we even ran into erika's old elementary friend from japan, amy♥

we then found out that if you purchase a drink and chill in the 'green room' (a bar inside the showbox) they let you into the show BEFORE the line outside...
thank god i'm over 21! ♥ gotta love these advantages♥

we got in and found ourselves an awesome spot up front...
now maybe it was the few drinks we had beforehand, or the fact that we were up since 7 working... but erika couldn't take the crowd. she had to step out and watched the show from the back... halfway through the show, i felt dizzy and almost fainted..literally. it was so weird...i've never had that happen to me before... it had to be the drinks. i think we dehydrated ourselves.. :(
but back to the show, utada was amazing! i got to see her really close♥
she was cute, adorable and wow..her vocals were amazing! i thought she sounded better than on CD. she came out in a cute pink dress with thigh-high black boots.. very nice♥
she mixed her chats with both english and japanese. even performing both US and japanese tunes... (awesome)
i'm trying to remember some of the songs she sung:
devil inside, FYI, on and on, me muero, sakura drops, stay gold, passion, simple and clean, automatic, can you keep a secret, first love, hmmm... and a whole lot more! the show was a good 2 hours long♥
i felt real lucky to see her because concert tickets in japan can cost anywhere from 80~couple hundred bucks... we got to see her for $30. very lucky♥
i really hope she comes back for another show

the only thing i was bummed about was that they didn't have any merchandise..or shirts/posters/cd's to purchase :(
i usually like to purchase a little something at shows...as a souvenir

but really, no complaints♥ utada, you rock girl!

the return of the street stickers...!

so a while back i posted a few "street stickers" (as i like to call them) i found in downtown seattle...
well, i found another one! this one looks like kristen stewart aka Bella from the popular twilight series... the vampire gal!
i thought erika would appreciate it♥

Bandits happy hour...♥

so this was last weekend...
erika and her crew wanted to go out somewhere in seattle... since it was a friday and i was still in the area (due to my job being in belltown) i decided to join♥
turns out my co worker was celebrating a birthday at the same time...so we combined crews and drank away ^_^

hmmm...not sure what was going on here...
maybe i was trying to intimidate her...? O_o

ok, totally got photo-bombed here...

drop shots...fun but...way too much to drink in one swig!
took me a while to finish...

this turned out hi-larious!
we just wanted to look...sad..
and it turned out insanely good!
we genuinely look like we're about to bawl our eyes out!

o, and i must not forget the after-party-kancho-war!
don't know what a kancho is? hahaha, look it up:)

i got hit once...but i succeeded in 3 kancho attacks!
