omg gals! so the Bellevue Art Museum aka BAM (which i thought closed years ago due to bankruptcy or something...) is having a shoe exhibit for shoe lovers like me!!
i was informed by my other shoe lover & co worker nicole♥ (thanks for the heads up!)
it's running through june and i think erika and i need to plan for a shoe date♥

surrounded by spawners....

yep...you know you're getting old when you're surrounded by married couples... and then you feel even older when they start spawning! well...let's see here, i have 3 baby showers that i know of coming up and...well, frankly, it makes me feel small and i feel like a poop!

i guess it's because we're all in the same age-range and yet i haven't moved up that ladder yet...
but it's typical me, i'm always the late bloomer..the last person to accomplish anything really...
(if you consider marriage and babies an accomplishment... i do, i think it's a beautiful thing!)
but it also depends on who your friends are... maybe i need to find single friends my age who aren't married? that way i won't feel like a poop... it's just that when it's all around you, i feel like i'm left in the dust... and i can't help but compare myself...oy, it's hard to explain...
i guess it's a girl thing...? or sadly, it might be an ivy thing :(

oy...virus...

so my computer is currently infected with a virus...and i can't seem to get rid of it...

i'm afraid my computer may be broke :(
hence my slow blog updates...i'm gonna try to figure something out by this week..
i hope i don't have to purchase a new computer...ROAR!

samurai noodle @ u-district...!

so over the weekend jamus erika and i checked out the new SAMURAI NOODLE that opened in the U-district... jamus had yet to try some samurai goodness♥ boom noodle also serves 'ramen' but according to the jamus, it's not salty enough. SO i recommended samurai noodle (because for me...well...their broths are a bit too salty) he mentioned it still wasn't salty enough but it was better than boom noodle... yay! as for me, i tried something different...and BOO-urns! it wasn't delicious... i should've stuck to my usual 'tonkotsu' ..you can never go wrong with that one!♥

ok, i can't officially get excited right now since tickets don't go on sale til tomorrow..BUT

i'm definitely seeing lady gaga this summer♥ her monster ball tour is coming to the tacoma dome, or as erika likes to call it--the T-Dome. (i don't really heart the T-dome..it's too old and crappy) tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am.. i'm stoked!

spur of the moment OREGON...!

erika and i decided to be spontaneous and drive 4 hours down to oregon to see a few friend(s)♥

i promised her a few weeks back i'd go but she fell sick with a sinus infection so that plan got pooped out! (still coughing) but now that she's feeling better, i agreed to go!
4 hours total...just about. the drive down was sunny and beautiful♥

i wish we had the time to stop by portland and walk around a bit...but we were trying to meet up for dinner. portland is pretty♥ lots o green...trees...some cool buildings but i still prefer seattle over portland... (oo...did i just say that out loud?)

popeyes... ok, the last time i had a popeyes chicken was in alabama when i was a little kiddo...
i thought it didn't exist in washington state, but it does! unfortunately we SUCKED at finding one no the drive back so...we couldn't enjoy ourselves popeyes.

our final destination was benton county, corvallis / albany.
wow what a small town! and i sware we were the only asians....
i could not see myself living there.... :(

ok, so christina aguilera hasn't released anything since back to basics (well, a greatest hits album: but that doesn't count) and it's been way too long!

'back to basics' came out in 2006 and..i gotta be honest, i didn't favor it as much.
'stripped' was her last great masterpiece!
well..i'm really pumped for the upcoming 'bionic'
rumor has it, it's gonna be electronic-influenced. OoooO!!!
she's been working with sia, tricky, ladytron, goldfrapp...enough said♥

the discovery channel started a new series called "Life".
it's amazing..O_o!!
when i was a kiddo, i LOVED watching the discovery channel animal stuff...i remember watching it a lot in class. but then the discovery channel went kinda downhill for me... the shows got kinda cooky..with nerdy narrators -- and they have some reality shows on it too i think... where's the straight up animal stuff?
well it's back! and better! oprah winfrey does the narrating (which doesn't bug me at all..and she was good at it actually*still prefer morgan freemans voice, king of narrating*)
A-MAZING shots!! with technology being so advanced now, the photography/cinematography is absolutely amazing!
(yea there was that "planet earth" a while ago but...i didn't like the format of that show)
i recommend anyone to check out this "Life" series--it airs every sunday-funday♥

panty raid...!

curious? what's a panty raid you say? victoria secret had a special 'panty raid' sale this weekend... the normal 5 for $25 was a bargain 7 for $25♥ erika and i totally raided the panties
and speaking of redmond town center, i mentioned before there was a cow chip cookies but it closed... well, a new dessert-type store opened up in that spot called:
"pinkalicious cupcakes"
eeeeee!!!!! so cute! what a girly princessy name♥ the store was all pink too...
i only got a glimpse of it but i'll have to see what kinda cupcakes they have to offer...
i'm hoping for chocolatey goodness♥

unicorn (unicone) crepes...baibai

sadness!! it's been announced that unicorn aka unicone crepes in chinatwon will be/is closed :( tears and tears of sadness!! but, they aren't totally gone... they've opened one up in southcenter so it looks like that will be their main crepe-ery. poopy pants... i'll need to travel a bit farther to get my crepe fix now--but it's SO worth it♥

so, at the cafe i frequent during work for my espresso fix gave out free bags o espresso beans today! yay! and i have a coffee grinder at home too...plus a french press, looks like i'm gonna have some great coffee to enjoy at home too♥

we had salmon, shrimp, oysters, crabs...mmmm! it was heaven!

this was also our early celebration for okapans birthday♥

so jamus bought this new PS3 game a couple weeks ago and...it's quite different!
you play several characters but the object of the game is to investigate a kidnapping--so
essentially you're a detective! (OOoO~!) or private investigator! (OOoOo~!) or whatever cool detective title you wanna be♥the graphics are really good...best i've seen so far. and the story is well written too...
jamus does all the playing but i'm like his sidekick detective assistant. o yea~

alice in wonderland in...3D o my!

saw alice in wonderland today...in 3D! WOO!
i guess i've been kind of excited for it...maybe(?)
expectations were high though... and after the (in my opinion) chocolate factory flop, i wasn't
sure what to expect really...
good things first though!
visually, it was awesome! loved the colors♥ and i LOVED the odd proportions of the characters
the red queen had a HUGE head-- crispin was super skinny and tall..the drugged out rabbit from the tea party...haha!
but then...i felt it lacked an...oomph! hmmm well, the story was different from what i'd expected.
but truth be told, i've never read the original alice in wonderland book. my only alice reference is the classic disney movie 'alice in wonderland'. so i thought it'd be the same story from that..but it was totally different. jamus pointed out though that she's older in this one and they reference the (disney alice) as a memory..so this was like a ...sequel? i have no idea @_@
and...i can't believe i'm gonna say this but johnny depp didn't do it for me either :(
i know he and burton are best pals but..after using depp over and over, all these characters are just starting to sound/act the same :( i couldn't help but notice some wonka in the mad hatter..i even sensed some jack sparrow from the mad hatter! OY!

the 2 buddies who will never do a movie without each other....

so all in all, it was an o-kay movie.
buy my vote still goes to the original disney classic 'alice in wonderland' ☺

boondock saints...!

last night i saw boondocks saints for the first time

(i recall seeing it in the past but i don't think i finished it...i remember ben owned the movie)
well, it's their 10th anniversary and with st patty's coming up next week, they re-released the movie in limited theaters♥ Bella Botega in Redmond being one of them☺
good movie! and c'mon..i'm part irish. made me feel cool!
and oof!♥_♥ the saints are hotties! normad reedus is definitely my type♥
BUT i think willem dafoe's character is what made the movie awesome!
his character as the crazy detective...HAHAHA! i almost want him to get a spinoff movie on him!
