yea, we've been using our fireplace a lot lately.
it's so nice and cozy! makes me want to roast some marshmallows...

..due to moving,
we're disconnecting our compOOters for relocation.
we're not even halfway done!
unfortunately i can't get a whole lot done during the week, so hopefully this weekend i can get most of my things moved.
but then i have busy weekends ahead--company holiday parties, cleaning the old apt, etc.
i can't wait to get settled in!

Black friday...!

sheesh..i still don't understand these people who camp out for black friday...
yes, deals are awesome! but not worth camping out and waiting in line in the early morning..
i went out Friday afternoon to a few stores to check out some deals... couldn't really find anything... but then i wasn't looking for anything in particular.
i checked out target, best buy and silver platters.
got some new music a couple new movies and that was it ☺
BUT i did find a super cute shower curtain for my new apartment ♥♥
OWLs and SQUIRRELs..! squee!

it's so cute! i can't wait to put it up!
that was about it--i think i prefer online shopping versus going out.
i found really good deals online for urban outfitters and amazon has good deals right now.
yay! shopping in the comfort of my home♥ that's the way to do it!

erika and i are doing separate errands today...
i come home and i find this...
on the steps leading to our apartment lies erika's lonely jacket.. abandoned...all alone...
yep, she's clumsy! she didn't even notice she dropped it HAHA (o^_^o)

so it's sunday...naturally, i'm still sleeping at 11am... i LOVE to sleep in on the weekends♥
it's the best part!
but not this sunday....
i'm awoken to the sounds of ear piercing high pitched alarms! INSIDE my apartment...!!!
kiki is freaking out at this point...
erika and i step outside and the apartment building alarm is right next to our door!
this one is even worse! it's ringing like a school bell ring, but it's ongoing!
i see other residents step outside...(i guess an alarm means to 'evacuate' right?)
so, whilst in my PJ's, i grab a coat-my glasses-my cell phone-a piece of brownie...
i look horrendous...how embarrassing..
the crazy part? there's no fire!!
so the trucks come out, they search all around, and they find nothing...
so what set off the darn bell?!
now i'm fully awake so i think i'll continue my weekend house cleaning...
BUT i believe it's better to be safe than sorry ☺

do i hear....a fire alarm..?!?

yes, it's that time of year again when we all load up our fireplaces and

burn fire...burn burn burn! and we watch movies and cuddle in front of that certain fire...

but that certain fire can be dangerous! and peeps need to be careful...
well...that's what i suspect happened to the apartment building across from us..

we heard a loud fire alarm out the blue tonight... and it actually sounded like it came from our

building (at this point i'm freakin out!) i step outside and it's coming from the building across the way... and about a few minutes later a firetruck rolls in...

(hey, good to know they're close by!)

i went out to investigate and hung out for a while and it looked like it was a false alarm..phew!

but here is a lesson learned..! people, be careful with fire! fire, heaters, cigarettes, whatever it may be...turn them OFF! i found myself double checking everything in my apartment before

i left today. let's have ourselves a safe winter eh?

we promptly went down to the office today to renew our lease for another 12 months
this is a great deal! we were debating whether we'd go our separate ways or find a cheaper 2b/1b apt... or whether we'd stay on the east side or move to seattle... UGH!! i've been secretly stressed out... i hate moving but i was also a tad bit unhappy with certain things... the hassle of hunting for an apartment and dealing with deposits, etc. ARGH!!
but we got an amazing offer and we took it...
turns out it's now cheaper than the cheapest apartment we've found online!
now i can save a bit more.....(for what? i dunno... but save save SAVE!)
erika seems happy about it too. yea the commute might suck at times but it all comes down to how much money comes out of our pockets... i think she'll be living a bit more comfortably the next year♥
now..i just need my darn mail keys!!

the leaves have fallen...!

the front steps to our apartment are now filled with autumn leaves...!

the trees are now naked and preparing for some winter snow!

gift basket...!

so for paying rent on or before the first every month, erika and i got entered into the monthly drawing for a gift basket... and we won! yay! it's actually a really cool gift basket :) girly and pink. it came with all sorts of bath goodies

our new home...yay...!

so we finally settled on an apartment in redmond, wa...! we will be moving in next weekend and i'm really excited...! it's a bit smaller in size, but i think it's a good one to get started with...! i hope kiki will like the place too

so erika and i are headed out to seattle to meet up with the boys playing at gameworks... we're gonna hit up urban outfitters to get us some obama t-shirts for the inauguration...!

apartment hunting...!

flipi and i have been apartment hunting this weekend... we were able to check out about 3 apartments... one in queen anne and the rest in bellevue... the queen anne apartment was oober oober cute ! wood floors, cute kitchen....but it was just too small for us and the fact that most people who live in queen anne don't own a car, for us it would've been that much more expensive... sigh... i coulda walked to work too... hahahaha

bellevue apartments were nice and cheaper, but ya gotta get a good feel with the ppl that work there...right? i mean, they're the ones that control where you live...money, maintenance...everything ! we're pretty sure we like this one place..but i'm starting to think we should look around a bit more... there's no rush, we got a few months, and i think it's better to expand our hunting.... plus, this place we like..has no washer and dryer..EW!

anyways, these are my thoughts on our apartment hunting progress so far....

other than that, this weekend was another street fighter filled weekend.... i don't mind, really...and especially this weekend erika and i were busy apt hunting...but wow, after gameworks they played more at the house... didn't realize how popular this game was....

and i actually played a few times and i'm starting to 'get-it' somewhat... sagat is my man ! maybe i could be the "girl champion" of our group??? HA! i wish....
