"Loud"

well...actually not so much anymore. but it USED TO be loud....and i used to really really hate this thing.

but now, (i may have gotten used to it) it hasn't bugged me as much lately.

credit goes to jamus for fixing the buttons so they don't produce the loud "click" anymore.

but it's what he loves to do in his spare time and i shouldn't keep him from playing some street fighter♥

aaah...just like the good 'ol days!

initially, the two were supposed to go to Seattle for a street fighter tournament..

but jamus was feeling under the weather :(

so instead they played for a couple hours at home.

kai and i went out to run errands. must give the men their game time!

sonic BOOM...!

so this is kind of "old news" but yesterday, seattle got rattled by a sonic BOOM!
a real friggin sonic boom!
what happened was, Obama was in town! (why don't i ever know these things?)
and a private mini plane flew into a restricted airspace...
2-F15s were launched from Portland, OR and it apparently took them 6 minutes to fly from portland to seattle..WOWZA!
we kind of freaked out at first, i mean our big building shook. i thought maybe a truck ran into the building or something...
i figure i could use this post to give a mini shout-out to
james' street fighter character--Guile's ultra "Sonic BOOM!"

it was...inevitable...

i don't know if he finally got comfortable with me..or what...
but jamus did it tonight...the inevitable happened...
yes people, he geared up with his headphones whilst playing online SF! aaaah!!!
for those non-gamers out there--in the "gamer" world, a lot of fighting/shooting games can be played online with ANYONE from ANYWHERE around the world... (wow!)
and to make things feel even closer to home, people can purchase a headphone that comes fully equipped with a microphone... now you can have a conversation with that unknown SOMEONE you're playing with and...become friends if you wanted... or yell out jokes and swear words.. whatever floats your boat.
to me, the "headphone" was like the epitome of gamer geekiness♥
jamus said he'd never wear one..or even want one.. but i've noticed changes these past few months... and voila, he wore it today.
but i can't judge him... and i really don't care.. i just find it funny...

oh no...SUPER SF is here...

this day was coming no matter what...

for some reason, only a year after SF4 came out, they decided to boost it a bit and
release a SUPER SF4...they added a couple new characters, brought back a few older characters, and got rid of the EXILE song (thank GOD!)
o, and new ultras ♥
i know i know, you're thinking "i thought you hated SF!"
well..yes, i don't like watching people play ...it gets repetitive...
but there are fun factors too!
for example, it's always fun to check out the new characters♥there's a new girl character, juri and she's kinda cool.
there's also the "challenges" part of the game, where you have to clear all combos.
this one's especially fun but i get frustrated really easy.
i like watching jamus do this one because i get to see him slightly upset...

i joined jamus and went to observe the street fighter get together in chinatown...
they made it an art gallery/tournament/bar/get together, which was pretty cool!
still, there weren't many gals....
i thought the art gallery idea was pretty cool!

so my camera died whilst in vegas...so i have very limited pictures from the trip :( i'm quite sad about it.... but here's what i've got!

i forgot to mention that we got picked up in sammamish via limousine !! hahahaha totally unexpected and we all felt...slightly awkward arriving at the airport in a limo... it was probably my quickest unloading ever...

here's is what our room looked like...it was a "deluxe suite". pretty nice eh?!

and this is the evo convention center... the first day. still in the AM so there aren't as much people as they were on the semi-finals and finals. lotsa dudes huh? mari and i checked it out and we ran into cole and king. it's weird to see a local friend out of state :)

the palms hotel was within walking distance from the rio. altho, i wouldn't recommend it...way to hot to stroll over there

vegas..?! in july..?!?!

so i will probably be going to las vegas for a weekend in july... no...wait, i'm MOST certain i will be going to vegas this july (^o^) see...ahem...there's this street fighter tournament thing that's gonna be held in vegas and what better place than vegas?!? yes the guys are all going but what a perfect opportunity to vacay in vegas! they can play street fighter all they want! i guarantee i can find something to do if i get bored at the tournament *_*

YEA!!!!! i got me some BP's today! aka Battle Points from playing Street Fighter 4!

ok ok...yes James helped me get the first 80 points HOWEVER i did beat someone online BY MYSELF and that earned me friggin 121 points..!!! really!! i'm so happy! :) i'm kind of afraid to play again cuz i don't wanna lose them but i think i'll try to get more points... YEA!

yep...ladies and gents..you have just witnessed a rare opportunity where jamus decided to try on my scarf...! not only is he wearing a scarf, but he's playing street fighter with it ON!!!!

and today was round 2 in the street fighter 4 (official) tournament that's been going on and jamus made it to round 2 but...unforch, he lost... i think he came in 3rd place... he had to get either 2nd or 1st to move on... aaah well, i still scored a wristband ! :D

jamus is the (sf4) store champ at the RTC gamestop ... ! hahahaha he really did win ! the 2 winners got wristbands and a headband, so i got me one... hee hee apparently the next round is in issaquah and if you win there, you get the six button sf4 controller...then after THAT, you win an sf4 joystick controller..then! then! after THAT, you go to san fran and eventually you win the actual arcade game machine... DANG !

street fighter IV...!

yep, it's out..it's finally out. street fighter IV is OUT... it's a lot more fun to watch than the older street fighter games so that's cool... and i tried playing a little. pretty fun.

what's hilarious tho is apparently EXILE did the theme song for street fighter IV, and in the american game some dude is singing it in english ! hahahaha little do these ppl know they are listening to JPOP... OOoOoOOOoo~!!

so i started playing some sagat on the new sf4 and wowa !! i can throw fireballs one after another like super fast...! deffo better than sf HD.... i played against the comp and did and does and meant to do the ultra super move and it was cool :D tiger uppercut fever!!!

apartment hunting...!

flipi and i have been apartment hunting this weekend... we were able to check out about 3 apartments... one in queen anne and the rest in bellevue... the queen anne apartment was oober oober cute ! wood floors, cute kitchen....but it was just too small for us and the fact that most people who live in queen anne don't own a car, for us it would've been that much more expensive... sigh... i coulda walked to work too... hahahaha

bellevue apartments were nice and cheaper, but ya gotta get a good feel with the ppl that work there...right? i mean, they're the ones that control where you live...money, maintenance...everything ! we're pretty sure we like this one place..but i'm starting to think we should look around a bit more... there's no rush, we got a few months, and i think it's better to expand our hunting.... plus, this place we like..has no washer and dryer..EW!

anyways, these are my thoughts on our apartment hunting progress so far....

other than that, this weekend was another street fighter filled weekend.... i don't mind, really...and especially this weekend erika and i were busy apt hunting...but wow, after gameworks they played more at the house... didn't realize how popular this game was....

and i actually played a few times and i'm starting to 'get-it' somewhat... sagat is my man ! maybe i could be the "girl champion" of our group??? HA! i wish....

ufo catchers a.k.a claw catchers...!

k... i've always been bitter about these machines...! always thought they were rigged so no one gets ANYTHING, altho in japan i'd always get stuff... SO.. i decided to give them a try when i went to gameworks on sunday. in 5 min, BAM i got 3 stuffed fiesta animals! O-M-G right? i think i got the trick now★ i even won a 4th one later on... YESSSSSS!!!

o, and here's why i was there in the first place★ i snuck a shot of jamus playing the new street fighter 4, apparently only in limited cities, seattle being one of them...!
