"Loud"

well...actually not so much anymore. but it USED TO be loud....and i used to really really hate this thing.

but now, (i may have gotten used to it) it hasn't bugged me as much lately.

credit goes to jamus for fixing the buttons so they don't produce the loud "click" anymore.

but it's what he loves to do in his spare time and i shouldn't keep him from playing some street fighter♥

initially, the two were supposed to go to Seattle for a street fighter tournament..

but jamus was feeling under the weather :(

so instead they played for a couple hours at home.

kai and i went out to run errands. must give the men their game time!

alon got me started on 'Animal Crossing: City Fold', Wii version.
the game actually came out back in 2008, so i'm kinda late....
but it's so cute and fun! and it's all real time udpates!
i'm still building my town and trying to make it prettiful....
i got to visit alon's town and wow! i'm jealous! she's got so much going on!
hehe..anyways.. i'm kinda hooked...

L.A. Noire...!

i'm not much of a gamer, but this game is awesome!

i'm horrible at navigating and using the PS3 controller so i just watch but this is highly recommended! it's a crime solving game and i LOVE games like this! puzzle/solving games.

it takes place in Los Angeles in the 1940s..the graphics are awesome!

the scenery, graphics, and the story overall is so realistic it's very o-to-na!

i don't care for violent games or fighting games.

like grand theft auto? psh... don't like that game.

street fighter? meh...it's so not-real! who throws fireballs?

but LA Noire? totally real.. i approve!

we play a detective and i assist james in solving crimes. hehe i'm his partner in crime!

oo! better get back to solving crimes!

"ivy the kiwi"--!

so i never got the chance to blog about the cute gifts my sister got me this year♥
(for my birthday)

so she found this awesome Nintendo DS game called "ivy the kiwi" !
how crazy is that?!
she randomly found it online and got it for me♥
it's super cute and fun to play too!

and the 2 ramen bowls from World Market.
(the SOUP bowl is one i already bought)
it came with chopsticks and a soup spoon

this is Q!
i was invited over to Alon's house on Sunday--right as we started getting our first snowfall♥
Q is Alon's pup! well.. i don't think she's a pup anymore but she's so tiny and cute!
i think she said she was a dachshund/pomeranian mix.. a-do-rable!!
so hyper and jumpy and kissy and bug-eyed! (O_O) CUTE!!!!
here she is with her (looks to be) favorite blanket on her favorite corner of the sofa with her favorite chew toy!

i gotta say, her area is quite nice! residential area with cute houses lining up the streets.
an area somewhat behind the U-district / U-village area.
her house is so cozy! so jealous! i'd do anything to get out of apartment living... but i don't see that happening for a while... (i'm looking forward to my next apartment though)

we practiced some Wii Mario Kart--we have a tournament coming up at work and i will NOT lose! i totally rocked Mario Kart on nintendo 64 but nowadays it's all about the motion sensitive Wii... it's slightly more difficult for me but i think i got good practice with Alon♥
i tried Mario Party too.. umm.. FUN GAME!!
how is it that i never played this game?? tons of mini games!
hmm.. maybe i'll add it to my Christmas wish list♥

holy zombie! this game is so addicting (-_-)
i first played it on the PC--trial version...
now, those trial versions are cool because it's very limited...
it forces a STOP on you, unless you buy the game. and i never buy online games.
but uh-oh, jamus purchased the full game on the xbox and i can't stop playing..!
it's all kinds o fun!
first, we all know i heart zombies♥
and the plants are so cute!!! i heart cuteness♥
and it's not a first shooter game! (hooray!) it's like a puzzle game so no complicated controls♥
all in all, the perfect ivy-game!
well, it's time for me to kick jamus off the Street Fighter so i can get my zombie on!
(ugh...we sound like a gamer-couple...ick!)

le pax 2010...!

yep, so jamus got to attend this years PAX expo at the convention center in downtown Seattle... it's basically a 3 day expo where game fanatics get to check out upcoming games, etc.
jamus is currently working on 'Guild Wars2" and it looks like there may be a big announcement soon... or maybe they already announced it..? (i have no idea... i don't follow games very much..)
but Arenanet had a booth at the expo so jamus got to attend.. and he wore his guild wars2 shirt!
i remember last year they had a Q&A thing going on and someone was giving out an artbook and such...
anyway, since i'm really bad at explaining game-related information, here's

wii tournament...!

another tournament today @ work♥
super smash bros "brawl"!
i was never good at this game...and still suck...
and because everyone was confused with how the game works, instead of having a tournament--we had a pizza+game party instead!

it was...inevitable...

i don't know if he finally got comfortable with me..or what...
but jamus did it tonight...the inevitable happened...
yes people, he geared up with his headphones whilst playing online SF! aaaah!!!
for those non-gamers out there--in the "gamer" world, a lot of fighting/shooting games can be played online with ANYONE from ANYWHERE around the world... (wow!)
and to make things feel even closer to home, people can purchase a headphone that comes fully equipped with a microphone... now you can have a conversation with that unknown SOMEONE you're playing with and...become friends if you wanted... or yell out jokes and swear words.. whatever floats your boat.
to me, the "headphone" was like the epitome of gamer geekiness♥
jamus said he'd never wear one..or even want one.. but i've noticed changes these past few months... and voila, he wore it today.
but i can't judge him... and i really don't care.. i just find it funny...

picross...in 3D..!!

jamus totally surprised me!
he bought me the new 3D picross DS game♥
i may have blogged about picross before..but it's my favorite puzzle game!
so addicting..and lotsa fun!
i've been checking online for a while waiting for a new picross game since i solved all the puzzles...(and actually, i've been re-solving the same puzzles just because..)
but nothing new...no announcement...
of course, i stop checking and BAM! a 3D version came out!
i am hooked♥ it's 3Dimensional so it's a bit more challenging.. it's also taking more time to solve so this game will last me longer☺

oh no...SUPER SF is here...

this day was coming no matter what...

for some reason, only a year after SF4 came out, they decided to boost it a bit and
release a SUPER SF4...they added a couple new characters, brought back a few older characters, and got rid of the EXILE song (thank GOD!)
o, and new ultras ♥
i know i know, you're thinking "i thought you hated SF!"
well..yes, i don't like watching people play ...it gets repetitive...
but there are fun factors too!
for example, it's always fun to check out the new characters♥there's a new girl character, juri and she's kinda cool.
there's also the "challenges" part of the game, where you have to clear all combos.
this one's especially fun but i get frustrated really easy.
i like watching jamus do this one because i get to see him slightly upset...

horia's birthday...!

the highlight...had to be Lady GaGa on Rockband!
i played the drums for rob zombie's Dragula and...ahhaha surprised myself!
i think i got it down! i got a 93% ♫ granted...it was on the easy level..
but...i could do it again. the drums were mega fun!

HEAVY RAIN...!

so jamus bought this new PS3 game a couple weeks ago and...it's quite different!
you play several characters but the object of the game is to investigate a kidnapping--so
essentially you're a detective! (OOoO~!) or private investigator! (OOoOo~!) or whatever cool detective title you wanna be♥the graphics are really good...best i've seen so far. and the story is well written too...
jamus does all the playing but i'm like his sidekick detective assistant. o yea~

i killed zombies last night...!

and yet...i still really suck at first person shooter games :(

james can vouch that...
games aren't simple anymore!
you use every button on those controls nowadays...
and just to walk around, you need to use both joysticks...ugh! i really hate that!
this resulted in wasting a lot of ammo last night...

and the game is pretty scary...large tv, turn off all the lights, and all you hear are zombie groans!
not so sure i'm prepared for a real life zombie apocalypse if it were to happen...
must practice more:)

peggle nights...♥

since i've cleared all levels and challenges from the peggle game-- jamus upgraded me to peggle Nights♥ a newer version...
oi! i'm addicted...!
and it's the simplest game...
you just release a pachinko ball and try to clear all the orange pegs...
i've been playing it all day today... lazy sunday....

rumor is...there's even a peggle game for the nintendo DS..?!
uh oh...sounds like i could be peggling on my commute to work pretty soon...

we had another wii tournament today and i signed up for it♥

i got 3rd place last time...for wii mario kart..

this time..well.. i didn't make it :(

based on how many points you get, the first place winner for each match advanced..

first round i got second...SECOND!! i was behind by only a few coin points >:(
