his 90th...!

december 26th, the day after christmas is my grandfather's birthday
this year he turned 90...!
we spent Sunday visiting him at the nursing home facility.
he even had a piece of cake with us!
he is getting quite old and needs a lot of help to get around but he's still healthy and doing well.

pot roast at fams..♥

my grandmother cooked my gramps' favorite dish, pot roast last night. so i was invited to come over and enjoy some of the meal. it was delish indeed! my favorite part...potatoes!

then i chatted with my gramps a little bit and spent about 20 minutes explaining who "jon & kate gosselin" were... (they are currently in tabloids everywhere regarding their failed marriage)

anyways, here's my pops 3

the gramps is here...!

so last saturday my grandparents flew in from alabama to permanently reside here in the northwest with the help of my parents ♥ my grandparents are quite old and need love and care ☺ i'm so proud they made the hectic day-long trip from alabama to washington, via commercial flight! yikes!!! that even takes energy off of me let alone my gramps! with the new addition to the house finally complete, it can now be settled in:) next weekend their moving truck will arrive and i'll help unload. my grandpa likes it here so far☺ i'm so glad!! and cool, i can just drive to everett and i can see them anytime i want♥

it's just about complete ! lights, heaters and plumbing have been added. and the wooden floor looks great:) they even get their own skylight♥
next weekend they will arrive and i'm excited to be able to see them more often than ever

this would be my old room... :( so sad to see it go away but it needed a facelift :)

so my parents are prepping the house with extra rooms so we can accomodate my grandparents... they will be moving in with my parents this summer... they are very old and need care :) i really hope they like washington! i think it's nice and fresh up here..not too humid and steamy hot like alabama... this summer so far has been soooo nice, i hope it stays this way. the rain might not be their favorite but hey... it keeps all the plants and trees green !

so we decided to spend this years thanksgiving in alabama with my grandparents (father's side)
we've never been to the south during the winter and it was surprisingly colder than i thought it would've been...

so we are off to dothan, alabammers...

but we need to loosen up a little before flying.... so i order a drink...
