MEもガーデン欲しい！

こちらがおかあちゃん達の植物ガーデン！★
かなり前からあるけど、さらに大きく広がってました。
いちごにじゃがいもにトマト・しそ・など！
自分もガーデン欲しくなりました。
うん、まずは簡単なハーブとか？

a visit to...SUSHI RING♥!

we decided to surprise オカパンat her work...SUSHI RING♥
at first you could tell she was embarassed... she pretends to hide it by looking annoyed buy..she likes it! luckily we were able to get seats right in front of her and watch her prepare food♥
あいびはもちろんサーモンを注文！
jamusも一緒に来てくれたの！彼はまだお寿司を食べ始めたばかりで、サーモンとかカリフォルニア・ロールをよく食べる。but he's willing to try different fish♥ yay!
上はオカパンからおまけにもらったホタテですぅ～
口の中でとろけて超美味しかった！

こっちはサーモンのgrilled salmon skinの手巻き！
MEの大好物や！

ってことで、おかあちゃん！ごちそうさまでした！
美味しかったアンド突然遊びに行ってすんません・・・

took a walk around our yard

so my parents planted a dogwood tree a few years ago (i think) and it looks like she bloomed!!
so pretty~ they almost look like cherry blossoms♥

久しぶりに実家に帰ったら、オカパンがオモチ食べてました！
うわ～日本人なのに超久しぶりに感じた☆

bbq @ the rents...♥

on sunday we were lucky enough to get semi-good weather for bbq-ing:)
not just any bbq...SEAFOOD bbq♥
we had salmon, shrimp, oysters, crabs...mmmm! it was heaven!
with ma's homemade potato salad (to die for!) and greens. lotsa greens!
this was also our early celebration for okapans birthday♥

pa enjoyed the cake♥

at first, erika and i desperately wanted to get him some cake from "fumie's gold" cake shop in bellevue..(brand new, just opened, highly praised, supposed to be amazing!)

jamus and i tried the shop about a month ago and...it was so dang popular, all the cake sold out...

well... once again, no luck with scoring fumie's cake... :(

sold out by noon! there was a line! YARR!!

looks like i'm gonna have to deal with NOT sleeping in on a weekend in order to get some of fumie's cake :(

but we had back-up plans♥ Hiroki's bakery in wallingford. also owned by a japanese baker, also amazing-delicious cake!

here's what we got:

(after tasting all the cake) this one was by far the best! this was pa's special cake♥

ma LOVED it!

this one was fun to look at :) erika is amazed by it's presence alone!

we also got to enjoy some shuumai, hand made by ma!

wow...it was way too good..i downed about 6 of these!

i requested for a vegetarian style for next time♥

the battle of art...♥

i spot a drawing on the family white board... the face on the right is a drawing of my mom drawn by herself... i said i could do a better one ! so i drew the one on the left....

the gramps is here...!

so last saturday my grandparents flew in from alabama to permanently reside here in the northwest with the help of my parents ♥ my grandparents are quite old and need love and care ☺ i'm so proud they made the hectic day-long trip from alabama to washington, via commercial flight! yikes!!! that even takes energy off of me let alone my gramps! with the new addition to the house finally complete, it can now be settled in:) next weekend their moving truck will arrive and i'll help unload. my grandpa likes it here so far☺ i'm so glad!! and cool, i can just drive to everett and i can see them anytime i want♥

mum's bday dinner....!

hey mum!!! happy birthday! (march 24th)
tonight we went out for (considering my parents never go out to eat, a rather NICE restaurant) for my mother's bday★
yep...sushi!
and fer dessert we had 煎茶ブルレ(sencha brulee)
i've never had it before but i know cream brulee is the dessert amelie likes to crack with her spoon... so i was fascinated! i totally cracked it! the top is sugar coated but the inside was like sencha cream of some sort... they said the inside part wasn't too sweet so i had a few bites...YUM
