outdoor bbq+movie night...!

so last weekend, i was invited to an outdoor movie night--jamus' fellow co-worker made his own big-screen outside and with a projector, voila! you got yourself an awesome movie screen♥
it was fun! a great way to spend the (seemingly coming to an end) summer☺
the movie was an old classic, circa 1971, "Godzilla vs Hedorah"
and surprisingly, it was in color!
cheezeball of course...but for a 1971 movie, the effects were pretty good..
and entertaining!
we had a campfire going on too..yep, in august we had a campfire.
i was wearing gloves..it was muy frio!

the culprit...still hanging around...

a quick visit to pops and i was reunited with the culprit..the culprit who harassed me while i washed my car last weekend...! look at him! he's so big!!! and won't get away from our car!
he's a threat i tell you... a threat to my life!
somebody...make him go away.. (-_-,)

this is the culprit...the suspect... the stupid big scary wasp that kept bugging me!!
every time i started to wash my car, he would fly around me and make me go running and screaming (-_-) look at him ! he's so BIG!!!

but i got it done♥ my honda is once again clean, inside and out!

on sunday we were lucky enough to get semi-good weather for bbq-ing:)
not just any bbq...SEAFOOD bbq♥
we had salmon, shrimp, oysters, crabs...mmmm! it was heaven!
with ma's homemade potato salad (to die for!) and greens. lotsa greens!
this was also our early celebration for okapans birthday♥

erika's bday partay part 1....!

we celebrated erika's upcoming 24th birthday at the rents last sunday
here's ma's specialty...delicious delicious DELICIOUS homemade cake♥
we like to use real whipped cream rather than frosting/icing (ugh..hate that stuff) on our cakes.
it's more common in japan.
i think she did a great job!

お好み焼き超うめ～！

久しぶりのお好み焼きでございま～す！
今回はシーフードに豚肉が入ってます★
もちろんキャベツもたっぷり

オカパンから「可愛く写ってる、よかった」のOKが出たので、
写真を載らせていただきますぅ～
今回は失敗もなく上手く出来た感じ♥

そしてスミス一家ではお好み焼きの後はかならず焼きそばを作ってます。
これまた美味しく出来ました★

好きな食べ物だらけのお食事でした★
さすがオカパン、茶碗蒸しを作ってくれました。
美味しい～！！！！思わず写真を撮ってもらいました。

こちらはヤマイモを使ったサラダでございます。しかも
オカパンの手作りドレッシングと混ぜております。
さっぱりしててなかなかの美味しさですぅ～

チラシ寿司ライス。。。これは、残念ながらあいびは食べられません。子供の頃から苦手で、
今でもあまり手出せないです。

そして、スミス一家では「幻豆腐」と言われる「揚げだし豆腐」です★
これはいつ食べても美味しい。いや、あいびは豆腐毎日食べられるぞ！＾＿＾
オカパン＆オトパン、ごちそうさまでした！

temaki-sushi party...♥

a week long planned temaki sushi party today!

my mom had been excited to have temaki for a while now (so have i! and i haven't had temaki in a while...mmmm yummy stuff!) she's already a sushi chef at a restaurant so she made awesome nigiri's. very nice♥ puriti~ presentation

she was telling me people here call it sushi ice cream or sushi cones. INTERESTING!

i liked the hamachi best...and the spicy ebi stuff.. MMMMM♥♥ i was sad she didn't have any salmon for us tonight... next time !
