i went out to celebrate my 30th!!

couldn't get my parents to watch kai overnight, so James was stuck watching him...

too bad because i wanted to celebrate with him the most.

but i still had fun!

we had dinner, drinks, pool and hung out with some VERY fun people♥

it was my friend jenna's 30th birthday celebration on saturday...! so we went out to capitol hill for dinner and drinks♥

met up with erika in wallingford first...

thought the sign was so cute♥

yay happy birthday jenna!! i've known her the longest in washington...

since senior year of high school so going on 12 years now..!

we also went to the cobra lounge afterwards--all in all a GREAT night :D

erika's birthday...!

saturday was erika's 26th birthday...and we went to mini-celebrate!

she came over and hung out with kai..then we walked over to my neighborhood bar.

it's so close...literally a 5 minute walk. which is nice!

james volunteered to watch kai for me so YAY! i had a few drinks...

wow...my face is...red?! 

i guess my tolerance is back to zero...

i know it wasn't crazy but i hope you had fun.

it's been close to a year since i've enjoyed one.

i didn't drink a whole lot since i'm still breast feeding but i got a light buzz pretty quick.

erika bought me sushi dinner--also been about a year since i've had sushi!

and birthday ice cream!

if you look closely, you can see my cheeks are red from the little bit of beer...

hahaha!

29...!

today is my 29th birthday!

and as i do every year, here are some fun facts about 29!

29 is the number of days February has in a leap year

the human skull is made up of 29 bones

it takes Saturn 29 years to orbit the sun

and of course, this is my last year in my twenties! (i better make it good!)

don't have any crazy plans this year...

still can't have any alcoholic beverages since i'm still breastfeeding...

but my sister is taking me out to sushi tonight!

and james and i will have to do a date night when my parents can watch Kai for us...

i did however get some flowers and balloons AND....

a new cell phone! yay!

james got me the new samsung galaxy "sensation" phone and it's awesome!

i'll have to blog more about it later!

ooo! june 10th was jamus' birthday! 28♥
now we're both 28!
hehehe...i embarrassed him by getting him some balloons, bwahahah!

erika is 25...!

YAY! happy birthday to my little sister today! she officially hit the quarter-century!

now, let me tell you. there was a plan friday night. a well planned out plan.
erika would pre-funk at her apartment with a few co-workers before we head out to the feedback lounge in west seattle. have drinks, have fun, laugh, etc.

ahem.... not so...
jamus and i finally arrived at erika's place around 9pm. a decent time, considering bars don't get too crazy that early .
i was getting excited!

we get to her apartment and she's already passed out... o and she had puked too...

i guess they were playing "Drunkopoly"... they were playing "the Office" version of monopoly with drunken rules...written by Erika herself! yea, she screwed herself over! o, and the choice of alcohol they had were BAAAAD! whisky and rum..?! really?!?! and guiness beer... ugh... those are all man drinks! no wonder she got so drunk so fast!

we still had fun though. she managed to get a second wind later on but i was getting tired fast. i didn't drink anything but i had been up all day.

all in all i'd say it was a successful house party--jamus got drunk too btw. he puked this morning...and he's sleeping on the sofa right now as i'm blogging this♥

in honor of paul's birthday nicole brought in homemade miniature cheese cakes!
her first time making them too and they turned out great!
i'm not a huge fan of cheesecake, but the small size made for a perfect consumption portion.

his 90th...!

december 26th, the day after christmas is my grandfather's birthday
this year he turned 90...!
we spent Sunday visiting him at the nursing home facility.
he even had a piece of cake with us!
he is getting quite old and needs a lot of help to get around but he's still healthy and doing well.
happy birthday gramps!

so she found this awesome Nintendo DS game called "ivy the kiwi" !
how crazy is that?!
she randomly found it online and got it for me♥
it's super cute and fun to play too!

(the SOUP bowl is one i already bought)

o geez! i'm now 28--such a weird number to be!
i'm getting really close to my 30's...ooof!

the owner of the bar actually commented on my blog about a year ago (when i blogged about st patty's day) i was drunk enough on this particular day to chat up with the bartender who turned out to be the owner! he remembers commenting on my blog--hahaha! funny!
