snow video...!

i forgot that i took a video of the snowfall we had last week.

here it is! the view from my 3rd floor apartment.

this was the peak day of the week when it started to snow a lot.

now it's all brown slush and nasty...i miss the clean white snow.

i hope it snows again this winter!

not just snow..but ICE !

i told jamus i wanted to go out on a solo 'snow journey' today and he said he would watch kai for me! 

so i put on my snow boots, bundled up and ventured out in the snow!

this year we got powder snow, so it was rather easy to walk around in.

but underneath this snow was a layer of ice from last night i think...so it was fun crunching around in the snow.

this would be the trails right behind my apartment complex.

nobody was out... i thought it was kind of a nice time of day to go out for a snow stroll.

even the roads are white...

i was surprised to see quite a bit of drivers out today.  why not just stay home??

pull up your window wipers so they don't get frozen to your car!

tomorrow is going to be interesting...the snow stopped as of now and the temperature is supposed to increase... which means yucky slush and possible flooding in some areas..?

first snow of 2012...!

the first snow (storm) has finally arrived!
(not sure why they are calling it a storm when it just turns to slush and melts away in a day...)
i went for a stroll to get some coffee and took some pictures♥
but they say it will get crazier tonight and tomorrow...
meh..i'll believe it when i see it!
however i AM getting excited...hehehe!

man! it's been like a freezer lately! temperatures have been suuuper low, my car iced up!
my door would actually freeze shut...oy!
it sucks because it takes forever to warm up... i hear it's supposed to snow again this week.

ok, i'm snowed in....!

so i had that insane 7 hour commute last night...
it remained below freezing temperature and continued to snow all night..
everything just FROZE!
i woke up to icy roads and the morning news telling me to "stay home".
turns out my bus wasn't even running..!
james' office was closed too so we spent the day together♥

yup, i got him out of the apartment for some (cold) fresh air!

we trekked all the way down to overlake for for a hot starby drink♥
it was soooo cold!! my snow boots & 3 layers of socks didn't help!
my toes were numb after 5 minutes..
my gloves didn't help! my fingers were numb in 5 minutes...
my earmuffs are awesome! kept my ears nice and warm

then we hit up 'pho hoa' for some delicious Pho'!

HAHAHAHAHA he didn't fall on his butt but he slipped and caught himself 3 times!

my epic Monday commute...

welcome to the worst commute of my life...!
an epic 7 hour commute from Downtown Seattle to Redmond...
i like it when i can do it in 40 minutes... i bitch about it when it takes me an hour...
well holy hell, it took me 7 hours today...!
and we can only blame the stupid snow...
well no! i love snow..snow is pretty and gentle and fragile and pretty~
so then who is to blame??
the people who don't know how to drive in it!!! and the city for saying they were gonna be "prepared" for this bad winter but turns out they weren't!!

so i left work at 430-- i skipped my first bus and 'walked' to downtown instead.. smart move!
one less bus to worry about!
so i'm walking and i ran into a fellow co-worker who drove and skidded everywhere..then i see other people just sliding everywhere... at this point i'm thinking "boy am i glad i skipped the bus! walking is super awesome!"
then i get to downtown...the HEART of downtown...
it's a friggin' mess... ... i spot my 266 so i catch it! YESSS!!
but then my bus ends up sitting there for a solid 2 hours...
i think i moved an inch every 15 minutes!
then turns out a bus had jack-knifed around the first corner! argh...
but i'm still stuck.. 4 hours later i'm finally out of the city...and now the freeway is backed up..
then it's running again! then... holy hell... i'm stuck on the 520 floating bridge for 4 more hours...
2 buses had jack-knifed ahead of us and blocked ALL LANES...plus it's an uphill and many peeps haven't switched to snow tires yet... meanwhile snow just keeps on falling and the road turns into ICE! i'm so bored out of my mind i stare out the window--car after car is covered in icicles!
...anyway..i'm home now and i'm tired..sleepy..hungry and NOT (most likely) going to work tomorrow.. and actually the metro bus recommends everyone to stay home tomorrow...

we're getting crazy snow...!
someone in the CATS dept built a snowman and placed him in our freezer..!
i'm actually having a hard time building a snowman this year..
looks like this first snowfall is POWDER snow..
mmm.... makes me want to go snowboarding!

so we got our first signs of snow on 11/21/2010 just a day after my birthday..!
(darn! i almost had a white birthday!)
it stuck around for a bit but eventually melted away.. kinda
but wow, that's some early snow! we're still in November♥

it has been unbelievably cold lately--my face hurts just being outside!
and my fingers are ice cold as i'm blogging right now..(i should turn on the heater)
SO i've been eagerly waiting for some "snow" predictions on our local forecast...
well lookie!!! it looks like November 20 & 21st might be our first snow days of this winter!
omg omg!! it's been changing between rain and snow but it's back to JUST snow♥
i just might have a white birthday! i remember it happened a few years back so this is quite possible☆

あいびは：「えっ！売ってよ！いくら?何色？持ってきて！」
ってことで昨日ケリーが持って来たのがこのジャケット！
水色でガーリー風のスノボ・ジャケ♥　気に入ったので彼女から買いました！
あとはズボンにボード。。。今年は絶対に行くからね！
雪！今年は降りまくってちょうだい！

what's with the weather...?

so after i saw 'watchmen' on saturday, i was bus-ing home when erika called and i decided to meet up with her in bellevue instead... so i switched buses and was on my way to the bellevue transit center when it started (randomly) hailing! believe it or not, in the 10 minutes it hailed, it stuck on the ground about 2 inches and my bus just couldn't make it up the hills on 8th ave... all passengers were kicked off... so i got stranded... cars were sliding everywhere, it was kinda crazy! erika couldn't even come get me so i had jamus come get me... my personal superhero... not just for these situations but for everything★

the bus driver let me wait inside the bus tho, while i waited for jamus... he was pretty cool and rather excited about the whole (bus getting stuck) ordeal

really..?? more snow...?

so this morning i wake up and BAM! 2 inches of snow...?! i thought we were done with snow !!!! spring is only a few weeks away!!!! let this be the last...PREEZ!
