happy valentine's day...!

yay happy valentine's day to all !

this year (since i'm no longer pregnant) i get to enjoy some red wine with my awesome husband ^_^

he cooked me dinner tonight and we are now enjoying some red wine together.

baby kai has been good too--o and the best part??

james drew me the sweetest picture! he drew a picture of me and kai and i LOVE it!

i want to make myself a print and frame it. 

i'll post a photo once i get it framed.

the holiday party...!

james' company holiday party this year was held at Showbox Sodo.

yea, the showbox! i had no idea you could rent out the space for private events!

it was pretty cool--the atmosphere was club-like.

dim red lights, loud music and open bar...o and they had game tables too.

poker, black jack, craps, etc.

they also had a hypnotist perform on volu

nteers and that was kind of cool.

i believe it BUT i kind of wish i knew someone who volunteered on stage so i could ask what it's like. i was afraid to go up myself, but now i kind of regret it. maybe i should've volunteered!

but i don't think i'm the "type" that can get hypnotized.

the hypnotist was saying that if you tell yourself "you DON'T want to be hypnotized" then it won't work. you have to be

willing... hmmm..

13 ppl volunteered and 5 ppl got sent back because they didn't get hypnotized.

i wonder if the others were really under his spell!! aaaa i'm fascinated!!

then towards the end of the night they had a live band performing while people mingled.

all in all, pretty cool! the venue was a cool choice.

anyhow, i love what she got me!
on my wishlist i noted "fuego" as my favorite store and she got me the cutest shirt♥

(AP dept) holiday breakfast...♥

YUMMERS!!!!
so every year the AP dept holds its own holiday breakfast get together where we exchange our secret santa gifts. mmm!
traditionally we would go to Pesos for breakfast but now that our department has almost doubled in size, we made reservations at a larger restaurant. Tolouse Petit♥
o my goodness... hello breakfast happy hour!
i loved that their coffee was served in a french press.
i was drooling just reading their menu--i opted for the eggs benedict (never had it before)

look at this dish! go ahead, drool away!
eggs benedict--hollandaise sauce over poached eggs, roma tomatoes, avocado and biscuit.
served with potatoes...mmm!!!
i am definitely coming back with erika and jamus for breakfast.

(o, and to give you an idea of how delicious the menu is, here's alon literally fainting of hunger after reading their online menu!)

it didn't get too crazy (at the after party) --i think a lot of people behaved this year compared to last year.
the catered food was pretty good but i'm kinda bummed i didn't win any raffle gifts :'(
but the gifts were so-so... the wii would've been cool but i already own one.
the grand prize was the karaoke machine... meh, don't think i should have one in an apartment complex. maybe the GPS would be cool? but i don't drive too often...
