viva las vegas...!

yes, we finally got tickets to go to vegas in july...! i'm very very very cho- excited :) it's going to be so much fun <3

we got tickets to the Rio All Suite hotel & casino...

it's not on the actual strip, but walking distance... and the street fighter tournament will be held in here.. i thought this hotel was built back in the 70's 80's but i looked it up and it was built in 1990... cool ! i'm super excited! so far i've stayed at a different hotel each time i've visited vegas.. wonder what rio will have to offer that treasure island couldn't? nanchatte!

i got sick...

yes, after erika got back from her texas vacay, i got sick as well..so was she, but she had it worse...lost her voice and everything... i just had a terrible dry cough for days.. left work early on a thursday and totally missed out on my company's monthly deck party + happy hour afterwards :( oh so sad....

terminator 4: salvation....!

i can't believe i'm going to say this but......Terminator:Salvation...SUCKED ! i was highly disappointed.... :( i wanted it to be good... i'm a huge fan of christian bale AND i grew up watching the terminator movies... ever since the sequel T4 had been announced i've been pumped pumped and pumped to see it! but i should've known better... when i heard McG was directing it i should've known... he directs pop music videos and charlie's angels! of course it won't be as great... but i still gave him a chance. the movie trailer actually looked awesome... and then chrisitan bale plays john connor...which in T4, he does.. NOTHING... why chrisitan bale fought the producers to get this role, i don't understand...the character was too weak for a strong method actor like christian bale...i thought.. the movie was a real mess too... too many things going on with confusing explanations or no explanations at all.. the first 40 minutes of the move, i was lost... even T3 was better than this one... well, supposedly this is a start of another terminator trilogy and i'm not sure i'm looking forward to it... i really liked james cameron's vision on terminator a whole lot... T2 will forever have my love <3

the spot...!

"the spot" is a new (well..for us) bar in old town bellevue... it's kind of hidden and i really liked it ! the theme is all red and black... we went on a saturday night and didn't have a problem getting a pool table... drinks were good, atmosphere was nice and chill (not crowded) and they played really good music... the spot beats the parlor i think.. not overpriced..not so strict on HAT rules... booo parlor!

cheese and wine festival...!

this was about a week ago... i had to finish up some work on a saturday so i bus-ed down to seattle. (usually) after finishing up work i'll just walk over to downtown seattle/pike place market (takes about 25~30 min to walk from work..a great walk actually) and whaddayaknow? there was a cheese and wine festival going on... peeps were walking around with toothpicks and cheese in their hands... i wanted to try some but every booth was so crowded.. i wasn't sure waiting for 15 minutes was worth a piece of cubed cheese...

the house is coming along....!

this would be my old room... :( so sad to see it go away but it needed a facelift :)

so my parents are prepping the house with extra rooms so we can accomodate my grandparents... they will be moving in with my parents this summer... they are very old and need care :) i really hope they like washington! i think it's nice and fresh up here..not too humid and steamy hot like alabama... this summer so far has been soooo nice, i hope it stays this way. the rain might not be their favorite but hey... it keeps all the plants and trees green !

wow...looks like i've been slacking for a couple weeks with my blogging.... :( sorry peeps! (but like anyone really reads this stuff...) so much has happened and yet..i can't seem to remember everything... i'll post up the highlight events <3

kelly brought in her puppy to work on friday... since it was half day, he was well behaved... some kind of a terrier breed? adorable !!

ice cream social...!

we had an ice cream social at work :) to celebrate the upcoming memorial day weekend...!
luckily, it was super sunny and hot outside..we held it on the 5th floor deck...

happy hour...!

after work on friday a good bunch of us went out to 'hula hula' in belltown for happy hour... it's like a tiki bar :) and boy do i love happy hour! my drink was only 3 bucks <3>

kelly, jon, denise, dave and i all planned to go out to 'la casa de oaxaca' in ballard... this super super yummy authentic mexican restaurant! and it was really really good..probably the best mexican i've had in washington <3 it's so popular, we waited for about an hour to be seated.. their guacamole was delish and their margarita's are to die for ! (altho i was already buzzed i didn't order one...)

cocktel de camarone... one of my favorite mexican dishes and it WAS soopah meccha oishii!

yoga...!

i went to my first yoga class on friday... i wasn't sure what to expect. i've heard of yoga and thought it would've been easier than it was. some of the positions are very hard..! you have to be really flexible! but it was very relaxed and somewhat meditating :) i think i'll go again hehe

spin class...!

ok, so with my job comes a few awesome perks :) like...a free gym membership!
i've been at this job for about 5-6 months now and never bothered to touch my gym pass... well, not anymore fellas! monday i went to the gym with denise, sam and kelly to check it out. denise and sam are super pro-active with this gym thing so they know everything and take all the classes offered there.. mondays are "spin class"..basically, cycling for an hour straight..i mean hardcore! now...it was my first day.. and i cycled for an hour straight but at my pace.. i didn't do any of the standing or hovering spins...i did the sprints tho. but holy cow! my legs need to be worked out because i was dying ! got drenched in sweat too so that was a nice feeling:) spin class is every monday and wednesday. looking forward to the next session!

kelly and i also checked out the hip-hop class and that was fun too :) simple enough moves for beginners! i prefer these aerobic-dance type classes over spin class... spinning gets too repetitive but it's more of a workout
let's see if i survive the rest of this week!

other classes they have are yoga, body sculpting, weight lifting..etc... hmmm, yoga you say?

this "pygmy"! it's the new chuck palahniuk book that just came out. i still have other chuck books on my to-read list, but i'm looking forward to reading this one:) it's sounds a lot different from his usual stories which are dark and dirty and totally weird. this one is categorized as comedic and romantic...hmmmm!!! chuck writing romance?? makes me wanna read it even more!

erika and i went out for some sister drinking last weekend and we had a good time. matt happened to call and was nearby so we hung out with him and his buddy... returning to the house, mr jorge lost his keys and matt wanted to climb up the patio... Ruh-roh!! bad idear indeed...

HA! turns out potters was a closeted trekkie ! what a good time to come out of the closet potters, "star trek" the movie just came out and it's supposed to be amazing! i'm not a fan of star trek at all and never understood the appeal for it, but i'm actually interested in the movie.. maybe i'll watch it :)

gift basket...!

so for paying rent on or before the first every month, erika and i got entered into the monthly drawing for a gift basket... and we won! yay! it's actually a really cool gift basket :) girly and pink. it came with all sorts of bath goodies

wait..this isn't a rainbow... it's erika sleeping like always. really, she ALWAYS sleeps in the car !!

it was weird, redmond was sunny and everett was gloomy... driving back to the apt i saw 4 different rainbows..! it was so pretty! too bad i couldn't get good shots from my cell phone...

construction started over the weekend at my parents..! they've dug up the new additional room area... they're tearing down my wall...the wall that used to be my room :( the wall that posted all my pictures and posters...so..sad... i'm excited to see how the new addition is going to look! this is a 2 person+2 day progress.. looks like it'll be done by the summer??

longest mariners game...ever!

after a wine infested night..(still ugh...) i couldn't believe it but i woke up at 730 am wiiiide awake ..! is that what wine does to you? helps you wake up refreshed?? erika had free mariners tickets so we totally went... started at 1pm and by the 8th inning we left. it was tied still but we figured meh... one of them will win.. we wanted to beat traffic home so we left. couple hours later we get to our parents and the game was still going on !! i think it ultimately went to 14/15 innings.. mariners won ! woohoo :) sayonara+gyakuten+manrui+home run=mariners

it was horia's bday on saturday... i had a little too much wine...ugh..

books can be fun....!

a few years ago i was introduced to the author Chuck Palahniuk (that's like...the coolest last name ever! ) he's the writer of "Fight Club" which was later made into a film featuring brad pitt and edward norton... (awesome movie i might add) and just like the movie, his writing is confusingly creative and trippy--i love it ! since then i've bought up a few of his books but they've just been sitting in my bookshelf... then it dawned on me, i spend about 2 hours round trip commuting everyday to work... why not use that bus-time for some reading?!? "survivor" was the first book i read. all the regular-chuck-readers recommended this be my first book to read and i loved it. a good introduction book to start with....don't wanna give anything away so try it out and read for yourself :) if you like THIS book, then read the rest of his books...!

i am currently reading "Lullaby"... i'm only a few chapters in, so this is the point where things start to get interesting :) well i'm dying to read the next chapter so.... ta-ta !
