check it! westlake has finally put up their ginormous tree complete with lights, ornaments and that HUGE backrground macy's star!

merry go round, donut house and more lights at the bus stop..
hmm.. i guess it's the same as last year...
still nice though to have some pretty lights whilst waiting for my bus ♥

free latte day...!

in honor of November birthdays, hires and anniversaries my company got a latte catering service...! complete with baristas and HWhip cream!
(we usually do some sort of deck party--hot dogs, burgers, chips, blah blah)
but with the cold winter faaast approaching, the warm lattes were a delight!
i don't know what Andrew meant by 'crappy' espresso catering... this was fab!
especially because we got the catering service from Elegance Espresso--the cafe i frequent in the mornings. And actually one of the regular barista gal served the espressos today♥
(she even topped my drink with X-tra Hwhipped cream)
the only downside? ... small size!! they used the 'short' cups :'( BOO!
BUT since it was unlimited drinks from 8:30-10:30, i could have gone back for a second cup if i wanted...
anyhow, free latte! WEEEEE!

..due to moving,
we're disconnecting our compOOters for relocation.
we're not even halfway done!
unfortunately i can't get a whole lot done during the week, so hopefully this weekend i can get most of my things moved.
but then i have busy weekends ahead--company holiday parties, cleaning the old apt, etc.
i can't wait to get settled in!

Black friday...!

sheesh..i still don't understand these people who camp out for black friday...
yes, deals are awesome! but not worth camping out and waiting in line in the early morning..
i went out Friday afternoon to a few stores to check out some deals... couldn't really find anything... but then i wasn't looking for anything in particular.
i checked out target, best buy and silver platters.
got some new music a couple new movies and that was it ☺
BUT i did find a super cute shower curtain for my new apartment ♥♥
OWLs and SQUIRRELs..! squee!

it's so cute! i can't wait to put it up!
that was about it--i think i prefer online shopping versus going out.
i found really good deals online for urban outfitters and amazon has good deals right now.
yay! shopping in the comfort of my home♥ that's the way to do it!

happy turkey day ya'll...!

mmm another year of turkey celebration!

i ate a lot and *burp* i brought back some leftovers too--
i hope jamus had fun!

and now that thanksgiving is over, people will get into full christmas-mode!
i hear some places are opening earlier this year for black friday.
oof.. i'm hearing rain outside right now so that can't be fun...
as for me, i don't ever hit up the stores early in the morning.
but i'll definitely hit a few stores to check out some deals. but i don't have anything in particular i want... ikea should be fun though! check out some furniture i can get for my new apartment♥

with it being a half day at work and the day before Thanksgiving weekend, i didn't think the cafe would be open today...but they were! as i went for a latte, i was greeted by mocha again!
she's not as shy anymore--she just comes running out from the back of the shop!
always dressed to impress! today it was a pink hoodie...yes! it had a mini hood on it!

ok, i'm snowed in....!

so i had that insane 7 hour commute last night...
it remained below freezing temperature and continued to snow all night..
everything just FROZE!
i woke up to icy roads and the morning news telling me to "stay home".
turns out my bus wasn't even running..!
james' office was closed too so we spent the day together♥

pure white icy roads in his apartment complex... that's james!
yup, i got him out of the apartment for some (cold) fresh air!

we trekked all the way down to overlake for for a hot starby drink♥
it was soooo cold!! my snow boots & 3 layers of socks didn't help!
my toes were numb after 5 minutes..
my gloves didn't help! my fingers were numb in 5 minutes...
my earmuffs are awesome! kept my ears nice and warm

my epic Monday commute...

welcome to the worst commute of my life...!
an epic 7 hour commute from Downtown Seattle to Redmond...
i like it when i can do it in 40 minutes... i bitch about it when it takes me an hour...
well holy hell, it took me 7 hours today...!
and we can only blame the stupid snow...
well no! i love snow..snow is pretty and gentle and fragile and pretty~
so then who is to blame??
the people who don't know how to drive in it!!! and the city for saying they were gonna be "prepared" for this bad winter but turns out they weren't!!

so i left work at 430-- i skipped my first bus and 'walked' to downtown instead.. smart move!
one less bus to worry about!
so i'm walking and i ran into a fellow co-worker who drove and skidded everywhere..then i see other people just sliding everywhere... at this point i'm thinking "boy am i glad i skipped the bus! walking is super awesome!"
then i get to downtown...the HEART of downtown...
it's a friggin' mess... ... i spot my 266 so i catch it! YESSS!!
but then my bus ends up sitting there for a solid 2 hours...
i think i moved an inch every 15 minutes!
then turns out a bus had jack-knifed around the first corner! argh...
but i'm still stuck.. 4 hours later i'm finally out of the city...and now the freeway is backed up..
then it's running again! then... holy hell... i'm stuck on the 520 floating bridge for 4 more hours...
2 buses had jack-knifed ahead of us and blocked ALL LANES...plus it's an uphill and many peeps haven't switched to snow tires yet... meanwhile snow just keeps on falling and the road turns into ICE! i'm so bored out of my mind i stare out the window--car after car is covered in icicles!
...anyway..i'm home now and i'm tired..sleepy..hungry and NOT (most likely) going to work tomorrow.. and actually the metro bus recommends everyone to stay home tomorrow...

someone in the CATS dept built a snowman and placed him in our freezer..!
i'm actually having a hard time building a snowman this year..
looks like this first snowfall is POWDER snow..
mmm.... makes me want to go snowboarding!

this is Q!
i was invited over to Alon's house on Sunday--right as we started getting our first snowfall♥
Q is Alon's pup! well.. i don't think she's a pup anymore but she's so tiny and cute!
i think she said she was a dachshund/pomeranian mix.. a-do-rable!!
so hyper and jumpy and kissy and bug-eyed! (O_O) CUTE!!!!
here she is with her (looks to be) favorite blanket on her favorite corner of the sofa with her favorite chew toy!

i gotta say, her area is quite nice! residential area with cute houses lining up the streets.
an area somewhat behind the U-district / U-village area.
her house is so cozy! so jealous! i'd do anything to get out of apartment living... but i don't see that happening for a while... (i'm looking forward to my next apartment though)

we practiced some Wii Mario Kart--we have a tournament coming up at work and i will NOT lose! i totally rocked Mario Kart on nintendo 64 but nowadays it's all about the motion sensitive Wii... it's slightly more difficult for me but i think i got good practice with Alon♥
i tried Mario Party too.. umm.. FUN GAME!!
how is it that i never played this game?? tons of mini games!
hmm.. maybe i'll add it to my Christmas wish list♥

first snowfall...!

so we got our first signs of snow on 11/21/2010 just a day after my birthday..!
(darn! i almost had a white birthday!)
it stuck around for a bit but eventually melted away.. kinda
but wow, that's some early snow! we're still in November♥

so on my actual birth-day (20th) jamus and i headed over to the Lincoln square to eat dinner.
we don't eat out too often but we decided to try somewhere nice in the Bellevue square area ☺
turns out, microsoft opened a new 'microsoft store' in the mall and there was a grand opening deal going on... the Dave Matthews Band had a surprise performance--then apparently Miley Cyrus performed just before we got there--and the Kardashians made an appearance at the Nordstrom to promote some fragrance thingy....
umm... why?!?
i wasn't aware of any of this! i wish i knew because we had to wait 40 minutes to get seated :'(
(or maybe that's normal...?)
a lot of rich folks for sure... this mall is quite fancy...
hmm..speaking of, i still haven't checked out The Bravern..

i really like her--i find her super gorgeous and well..Prince William is kinda meh...
i'm excited to see what the royal wedding will be like.
i'm sure it's going to be just crazy big and lavish!

i remember my parents got married the same year Princess Diana and Prince Charles married.
i'm the same age as Prince William and Erika is the same age as Prince Harry too.
unfortunately Prince William beat me to the altar....
